About the Podcast Title

In case you're wondering about the name We Be the Change? well, it just feels right—sparkly, celebratory and rooted in Gandhi’s wisdom: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” 

I love the collective energy of We Be the Change—it’s like saying, "Hey, We ARE the change! Hooray!"

Each guest on this podcast personifies what it means to “be the change.” They share stories of transformation, passion, and purpose—stories that are deeply human and incredibly practical.

So, I’m glad you’re here—welcome aboard!

Living in the Present: A Sacred Experience

Gandhi also said, “The future depends on what we do in the present.” 

We've all witnessed moments when someone was so immersed in their purpose that it felt sacred.

Like when I first witnessed my shy friend on water skis jubilantly dancing across the waves.

Or my quiet, introverted father, a concert violinist, who would set the stage on fire while he poured out his soul through his violin strings. Really powerful!

Do you know someone like this? Maybe yourself? Someone who radiates their passion so powerfully that it melts away any heaviness in the room?

I call these guests Evolutionaries—they are torches that light-up others with their wisdom and love. They share earthy, real-life stories that rekindle something within us.

These stories come from life’s trenches—and some are pretty rough. But they hold hidden treasures that can guide us through today’s crises and help us move toward healing.

I think of the many tired, anxious souls who keep showing up, holding things together, even at the expense of their own comfort. Maybe you are one of these earth angels.

As Rumi said, “The darker the night, the brighter the stars.” 

Each guest on We Be the Change is a power star of compassion, lifting others up, reminding them of their brightness. They bring people together in surprising, creative, and deeply meaningful ways.

What if John Lennon was right--what if "Love IS the answer"? 

What if love is the only antidote to the fear, division, and toxicity we see and feel around us? I truly believe it is--real love. Boundless love. Transformative love.

A Message from Grandmother Tree

About 15 years ago, by the Big Wood River in Idaho, I was emotionally exhausted, unhappy and overwhelmed. I felt called to sit with an ancient tree.

She whispered a clear message into my heart:

“I am love with roots. You are love with legs.” 

That message became a touchstone for me.

Every guest on We Be the Change reminds us that we are love with legs, walking in a confused and chaotic world, capable of making a real difference.
